This one kind of feels like a no-brainer, but it is just a rumour, so we’ll treat it as such. Super Smash Bros Switch is rumoured to be coming out in 2018.
Thr rumour comes courtesy of Resetera Admin Emily Rogers, who has a history of leaking true information. Rogers was the industry insider who leaked the full and accurate Nintendo Switch specifications prior to release.
Super Smash Bros Switch
According to Rogers, Super Smash Bros Switch isn’t just a “straight port.” It will include all of the Wii U/3DS content, some of which will be updated or upgraded in some way. It will also include brand-new content.
What that new content is, remains anyone’s guess. Rogers did state definitively that;
1. A Smash Bros title will be announced and released for Switch later this year.
2. They added brand new content and re-worked some of the existing Wii U/3DS content.
When pressed by others in the forum on the branding and marketing of Super Smash Bros Switch, Rogers was unable to confirm if it would be treated as a deluxe edition — like Mario Kart 8 and Pokkén Tournament — or a sequel.
Smash Bros Direct
Ther have been ongoing rumours of a big Nintendo Direct to kick off 2018, however so far these haven’t come true.
The rumours persist however and there may be a Direct before the end of February, according to tipsters.
To be clear.
YES a big Nintendo Direct was planned for January,but because of the 5.0 update and online features,It was delayed to Mid-February,probably between 12-15.
Thats why we got a Mini-Direct on January.

Obviously, the date in the tweet above is way off, but it’s been a while since a proper Nintendo Direct and they usually come without much warning. A Nintendo Direct could be imminent and it may very well include Super Smash Bros Switch.
Super Smash Bros was originally released for 3DS and Wii U.
