Ghost Recon: Wildlands is free-to-play this weekend

Ubisoft announced a free weekend for Ghost Recon: Wildlands today. Players across PC, PS4 and Xbox One will have access to the base game and the brand new PvP mode.

Ghost War, Ghost Recon: Wildlands PvP mode, is a 4v4 tactical deathmatch. Ghost War will feature 12 distinct classes who have access to different weapons, perks and customisation options.

Fights will take place over eight maps and players will experience new mechanics like suppressing fire and sound alert markers.

Hunting Ghosts

Ghost War will be expanded in the coming months as Ubisoft introduce new classes, maps and modes. All new maps and modes will be free for all Ghost Recon: Wildlands players.

Like with Rainbow Six: Siege, new classes will be unlockable via Prestige Credits. Credits can be earned through in-game progression. Season Pass holders will gain access to the new classes a week early.

PC and PS4 players can pre-load now. Xbox One owners are unable, at the time of writing, to pre-load. Ghost War will begin at 3AM AEDT, October 11 for owners of Ghost Recon: Wildlands.

The free weekend starts 6PM AEDT, October 12 on PS4 and Xbox One and 4AM AEDT, October 13 on PC. It ends on October 16.

Ghost Recon: WIldlands is available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
