Binge Guide: The Best Stuff Streaming on Netflix in July 2024

When it’s a slow month for video games, I feel the best option is to put down the controller, resist the urge to go outside or talk to loved ones, and just pick up the TV remote instead. To that end, I’ve scoured through the Australian Netflix offerings to find the best non-interactive entertainment worth consuming as I ice my thumbs and lick my wounds after weeks of Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree abuse.

Must-watch Series of the Month: Cobra Kai S6 – Jul 18 : It’s gratifying to see this series continue to be a knockout example of how to reboot something right. [Season 5 spoilers here] Picking up with Cobra Kai eliminated from the Valley, our senseis and students must decide if and how they will compete in the Sekai Taikai – the world championships of karate.

Must-watch Movie of the Month: Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F – Jul 3 : The above example not withstanding, I’m pretty cynical whenever The Suits decide to reanimate classic media from the previous millennium. So imagine my surprise when I found this Murphy classic to be more than halfway decent! Basically, Axel Foley is heading back to 90210 for an all-new adventure. The iconic Detroit troublemaker is back and up to his old tricks. Action, romance, and escapist getaways ahead — no sunglasses needed.
