Warhammer 40K invades World of Tanks Modern Armor’s Gladiators season

Wargaming and Games Workshop have announced an “Imperium-sized” event for World of Tanks Modern Armor’s latest season; Gladiators. Featuring Warhammer 40K players will be able to get their hands on five new Premium tanks inspired by 40K.

In addition, the Warhammer 40K event in World of Tanks Modern Armor will introduce “two new 3D Hero Commanders (Volusad Thassius of the Ultramarines and Patricia Laserian of the Sisters of Battle), and six new 2D Standard Commanders.”

That’s not all though. The event will take place across an entire month and include a two-stage challenge against both the Orks and Chaos.

World of Tanks Modern Armor x Warhammer 40K

Running from 2 May 2023 through 6 June 2023 the event marks the debut of the Melan Russ heavy tank; “a monstrous slab of mechanized armor built exclusively – for console. Named for the Primarch of the Space Wolves Legion, the Leman Russ heavy tank for console was conceived and implemented in full cooperation with Games Workshop.”

The two-stage event will task players with aligning themselves with either the Space Marines or Sisters of Battle while joining forces with players globally to fight the Orks and Chaos. By defeating the armies of evil, players will unlock their content for all users.

Daniel Burr, Live Game Director for World of Tanks Modern Armor said, “I’m proud of this project in all aspects really, but if I had to choose just one to highlight, it would be the voice-overs for the commanders. We’ve set a new bar for ourselves in terms of quality: hearing your Ultramarine commander or your Battle Sister commander praising your victory in combat really elevates the gameplay experience.”

The Warhammer 40K event is live now and will run until 6 June 2023.
