Watch Dogs Legion Collector’s Edition comes with a wearable LED skull and crown mask

Not to be outdone by Far Cry 6’s Collector’s Edition (with replica flamethrower), Ubisoft has announced the four different versions of Watch Dogs Legion fans are able to pre-order and purchase. The four versions are Standard, Gold, Ultimate and Collector’s and the latter three each come with some extra goodies.

While the standard edition simply includes a copy of the game, the Gold, Ultimate and Collector’s Editions each include more and more additional content, both physical and digital. Interestingly, the Ultimate and Collector’s Editions include “four weeks’ VIP Status.”

After looking on the Ubisoft Store and other retailers online, I was unable to determine exactly what VIP Status is and does. So, I asked Ubisoft.

Watch Dogs Legion

A Ubisoft representative told me VIP Status allows players to earn in-game currency more quickly. It wasn’t specified what currency would be affected, or if there are multiple currencies in Watch Dogs Legion. Nor was it specified if VIP Status has any other effects beyond allowing players to accrue currency more quickly.

The Gold Edition does not grant VIP status but it does include the base game and Season Pass which will add new story, DedSec Missions, four unique heroes and a full and complete copy of Watch Dogs 1.

Stepping things up a notch, the Ultimate Edition includes everything in the Gold Edition and adds the VIP Status.

Finally, the Collector’s Edition includes all of the previously mentioned content plus;

  • LED Coronet Mask Replica
  • Steelbook
  • Set of Stickers
  • Poster
  • Instant access to the Coronet Mask in-game

The LED Coronet Mask might be another one of those typical video game collectables, but there’s no doubt it looks dope. It lights up and just has a great visual look.

Pre-orders are open now. The Ultimate Edition costs $164.95 AUD (with a current 8% discount). The Collector’s Edition costs $279.95 AUD, the Gold Edition costs $149.95 AUD and the Standard Edition costs $89.95 AUD.

Pre-ordering Watch Dogs Legion grants access to the Golden King Pack which includes The Uneasy Lies mask, Serpent Sisters Weapon skin and the Lux Car Skin.

Watch Dogs Legion launches on October 29, 2020.
