Mitch Robinson announced as the latest HyperX Hero

HyperX has announced today that Brisbane Lions player and avid gamer Mitch Robinson has been named a HyperX Hero. A special image, created in his likeness (above) has been unveiled which “demonstrates his competitive personality and bash-and-crash playing style on the football and virtual fields.”

Becoming a HyperX Hero means Robinson will be decked out with HyperX gear whenever he streams or games with his #RobSquad. HyperX is celebrating the announcement by hosting a special 48-hour sale on Mwave.

For two days, the first 25 peopls who spend at least $60AUD on HyperX gear, through Mwave will be entered in the draw for a chance to win special gifts. These include Mitch’s favorite bundle or a Game Enthusiast bundle.

“My gaming style is aggressive just like the way I play football” said Mitch. “When HyperX approached me to create my hero image, I knew it had to present my style on and off the footy field.

“When I finish work I get to come home and play games with my friends and family. It gives me a great outlet to switch off mentally from the stresses of the AFL season, while giving me another outlet to flex my competitive mentality.”

Robinson was voted Brisbane Lion’s Best and Fairest in 2015, tallied a career-high 19 goals in 2019 and helped his team reach the finals for the first time in a decade. In 2018, he was signed by the Chiefs esports organisation and is the first AFL player to join an esports team.

Susan Yang, Marketing Director, APAC Region, HyperX said;

We are thrilled to have Mitch join our heroes’ lineup and go on this journey with us to continue to debunk the gamer stereotype

HyperX’s global ambassadors are a group of pro athletes, musicians and streamers who remind us all that no matter where you come from, as long as you love gaming, you are a gamer, and We’re All Gamers.

The Mwave brand store sale starts July 24.
