WWE 2K Battlegrounds will get more wrestlers post-launch for free

Saber Interactive and 2K today revealed that there will be over 70 wrestlers included on the WWE 2K Battlegrounds roster at launch. Not only that, they also confirmed that additional wrestlers would be coming to the game post-launch.

Best of all, it was confirmed that additional wrestlers will be added to WWE 2K Battlegrounds via “free update.”

2K and Saber Interactive also confirmed that all WWE Superstars can be unlocked through gameplay and the completion of objectives and that no additional purchases will be necessary.

While we know of 26 of the included wrestlers, there are still plenty that remains a mystery so it’s hard to theorise about who may or may not be added after launch. However, with decades of WWE to draw from, there is an enormous pool of Superstars and Legends that have potential to be added.

It’s nice to know additional wrestlers won’t cost more money as they’re added to WWE 2K Battlegrounds, especially as it’s the kind of aspect of a game quite susceptible to nickel-and-diming.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds will be available for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch and Xbox One on September 18, 2020.
