Big games now available and coming soon to Xbox Game Pass

This week is a big one for Xbox Game Pass for console. From today, Remedy’s classic survival horror Alan Wake and Colossal Order’s Cities: Skylines are available free for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Later this week, from May 26, Mojang’s Minecraft Dungeons launches and will be available from Xbox Game Pass on the same day.

Alan Wake celebrates its 10th Anniversary this year and will be revisited in the upcoming Control DLC; AWE. What better way to prepare for that than by replaying the classic game, refamiliarising yourself with Bright Falls and going insane alongside Alan himself.

Cities: Skylines is making a return to Xbox Game Pass. In it, you’re in charge of a “growing city, from the ground-breaking of its first streets to the ever-changing needs of thousands of citizens, you will design, build, and manage the city of your dreams.”

Xbox Game Pass

The big new addition to Xbox Game Pass this week is Minecraft Dungeons. Mojang’s first foray into a brand-new genre for Minecraft, Dungeons is a dungeon crawling title like Gauntlet or Diablo in which players need to save the land from the evil Arch-Illager.

Playable by up to four-players in both local and online play, Minecraft Dungeons will also launch for PC, PS4 and Switch. Cross-platform support won’t be available on day one, but Microsoft and Mojang have promised it will be added free later.

Sadly, when new games are added, some old ones must be removed.
