QubicGames to donate 20% of profits to medical services

Polish developer, QubicGames, has announced it will donate 20% of its revenue for April, May and June 2020 to “health and medical organizations fighting with the Covid-19 pandemic.” Profits will come from QubicGames’ Switch library of title which includes more than 40 games and includes new releases like HyperParasite, Tharsis, Gravity Rider Zero and DEX.

During May 2020, QubicGames will host a 16-year Anniversary sale for its entire Nintendo Switch catalogue, which will also have 20% donated.

The developer has also announced that 100% of revenue generated from Robonauts and Genki Yabi Runner will go towards the donation. Steam ports of these titles are also in production and will be launched on Steam to help bolster the total donations.

In addition to donating 20% of revenue, the developer has also purchased 75,000 USD worth of surgical masks from overseas and will distribute them to Polish hospitals in Warsaw, Wroclaw and Rzeszow.

A website, http://gamesvscovid19.com/, is also being launched which encourages other devs to join the fight against COVID-19.

QubicGames has stated;

All of the money for donations come from QubicGame’s revenue and any devs working with the publisher will not have any of their income affected at all.

The plan is to have 50% of the funds distributed between various international health organizations including the W.H.O while the other 50% will go to various local Polish hospitals.
