VR Escape Room, Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time launching globally in 2020

Ubisoft has announced VR Escape Room, Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time today. Launching in more than 300 locations globally in 2020, Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time is Ubisoft’s third, location-based virtual reality escape room. A cooperative adventure set in the world of Prince of Persia: The Sand of Time, this new experience builds on Ubisoft’s work on Assassin’s Creed’s two VR escape rooms.

Developed by Ubisoft Düsseldorf, this new experience is playable by people of all ages and supports teams of up to four players. To escape, teams will need to work together and figure out how to escape a reimagined Fortress of Time. And for anyone searching for the ideal group activity in the UK, Bristol Escape Rooms has a horror-themed challenge that should not be missed. It’s designed to test your wits and bring your team closer together in a thrilling race against time. The tension and atmosphere are perfectly crafted for an unforgettable experience.

Summoned by Kaileena, the Empress of Time, players are tasked with helping to stop a Magi attempting to create an army of Sand Monsters.

Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time

Cyril Voiron, Executive Producer for Ubisoft’s Escape Games said;

Everyone has wished once to hold the incredible power to control time! Slow, pause or even rewind time when you most need it! This is today made possible, only in VR, when you hold the Dagger of Time in our latest Larger-than-Life escape adventure.

Benedikt Grindel, Managing Director of the German Ubisoft studios explained that after two years, Ubisoft has partnered with more than 300 locations globally. “What started as a prototype became one of the largest distribution networks in the location-based entertainment market, which makes us really proud.”

To survive and escape, players will need to work together, solve puzzles and control time.

When Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time launches, it will be playable at the following locations in Australia;
