Get ready for the Hearthstone Global Games 2019

While Hearthstone Masters takes some time off Blizzard is once again hosting the Global Games. Hearthstone Global Games 2019 features 32 countries including Australia and New Zealand and it kicks off next week, November 16, 2019. In 2019, teams of two will compete over four weekends.

These online tournaments will see players competing in a “dual tournament gauntlet that culminates in a single-elimination Top four.” The games will be a best-of-five Conquest format with a prize pool of $75,000 USD.

The two players on each team will be the highest monetary earner for that region in the 2019 Masters Tour and a second player invited based on “lifetime earnings, contributions to the Hearthstone community, and more.”

The tournament and prize pool details are;

Tournament Format

  • Week 1: Ro32 – 4 Dual Tournament Groups (16 teams)
  • Week 2: Ro32 – 4 Dual Tournament Groups (remaining 16 teams)
  • Week 3: Ro16 – 4 Dual Tournament Groups
  • Week 4: Top 8 – 2 Dual Tournament Groups into Top 4 Single Elimination

Prize Pool – $75,000 USD

  • 1st -$20,000
  • 2nd – $10,000
  • 3rd-4th – $7,500
  • 5th-8th – $3,000
  • 9th-16th – $1,000
  • 17th-32nd – $625

The Global Games will be broadcast on Twitch and you can watch the matches as follows;

  • Week 1: 16-17 Nov. – 12:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. AEDT
  • Week 2: 23-25 Nov.– 12:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. AEDT
  • Week 3: 30 Nov.–2 Dec. – 12:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. AEDT
  • Week 4: 21-22 Dec . – 1:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. AEDT

The Championship Final will be held on December 23.
