Call of Duty Modern Warfare is coming in October

Modern Warfare is back! Activision and Infinity Ward have revealed that Call of Duty in 2019 is going back to the series that put the franchise on the map.

Modern Warfare is being called “a powerful experience reimagined from the ground-up.” It features a brand-new narrative, set in modern day as well as a multiplayer mode and new co-op.

Modern Warfare runs on a new engine, designed to deliver the best visuals possible and will also utilise Raytracing on PC.

What’s old is Modern again

Dave Stohl, co-Studio Head, Infinity Ward said;

We are creating an emotionally charged experience that’s inspired by the headlines in the world today, where the rules are grey and battle lines are blurred.

Players will join a varied cast of international special forces and freedom fighters in gripping and heart-pounding missions through iconic European cities and volatile expanses of the Middle East.  It’s intense, it’s exciting, and we can’t wait for our fans to play this October.

Patrick Kelly, Creative Director and co-Studio Head, Infinity Ward said that every aspect of designing Modern Warfare was done with the players in mind. Infinity Ward hopes to unite the Call of Duty community by offering cross platform play and doing away with the Season Pass.

Instead, free maps and content will be delivered post-launch in addition to events and more. Modern Warfare is available for pre-order and those who do, will earn a special prestige token to use in Black Ops 4.

Modern Warfare 4 will launch on October 25 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
