Final Fantasy 14 Shadowbringers Rated for Xbox One in Brazil

Final Fantasy 14’s next expansion is due for release in July for PC and PS4. Final Fantasy 14 was released for PS3 and PC, then later PS4, but has never been available on an Xbox console. Much to the chagrin to Xbox One players.

Even Director Naoki Yoshida has said he would love to see Final Fantasy 14 on Xbox One and Switch. In an interview with Kotaku, Yoshida said he “would love for as many players to be on FFXIV as possible” and “conversations have been had with Phil Spencer of Microsoft, and the upper management teams of Nintendo.”

However, at this stage, there have been no announcements and Final Fantasy 14 is still a PS4 console exclusive. Even at the recent Final Fantasy 14 Fan Festival in Tokyo, there was no mention of an Xbox port.

Now, however, a rating for Final Fantasy 14 Shadowbringers on Xbox One has appeared on the Brazilian Ratings Board website. You can see a screenshot of the rating above.

The relationship between Square Enix and Microsoft has been improving in recent years and perhaps Xbox One Final Fantasy fans will finally have a chance to explore Eorzea. Obviously, a listing on a ratings board isn’t concrete proof. Until Square Enix officially announces that Final Fantasy 14 is coming to Xbox One, it’s not a done deal.

Hopefully, it does get a release and comes with cross-play right away.

Would you play Final Fantasy 14 on Xbox One?
