Warhammer Age of Sigmar Champions is coming to PC and Switch

Developer PlayFusion and Games Workshop have announced that they are bringing Warhammer Age of Sigmar Champions to PC and Switch. The hybrid digital/physical trading card game has been available for Android, iOS and Amazon devices, but will be coming to PC and Switch in February and Q1 respectively.

The port comes off the back of the success of the mobile/physical versions which have seen 20,000,000 physical cards sold and over 1,000,000 digital matches played.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar Champions

According to PlayFusion and Games Workshop, Warhammer Age of Sigmar Champions;

is a modern collectible card game that presents a connect play experience; by blending physical and digital card collections, players can scan physical cards into your collection to claim them and take them to conquer the battlefield

Best of all, the release on Switch and PC will be cross-platform meaning you’ll be able to play against the established playerbase on mobile.

Mark Gerhard, CEO and Co-Founder of PlayFusion said of the upcoming release;

The team are utterly thrilled with the opportunity to bring Warhammer Champions to new audiences and new platforms. The response for the physical and digital game has already been incredible, and we just can’t wait to watch that grow to new heights.

With the release of our Set 2 cards in Onslaught, and a whole heap of new features we have planned, there’s always going to be something new to try. And now, there will be a much bigger community to try with.

When Switch and PC players join the fray they’ll be able to quickly learn the ropes by diving into the tutorials. Once the basics have been mastered they’ll be able to play against the AI, challenge other players in Casual mode and play the fully-featured Campaign mode.

For players who want the hardest challenge, they can take part in Ranked mode to earn the best rewards and try to achieve the highest rank each season.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar Champions will be available for PC in February via Steam and for Nintendo Switch later in Q1.
