MapleStory villain Black Mage finally enters the game today

Nexon has finally introduced MapleStory’s long-awaited villain, the Black Mage, to the game. The introduction of the Black Mage marks the final chapter in the war for MapleStory.

The addition of the Black Mage will see two new Tenebris areas, a fight with  Commander Verus Hilla and a battle with the Black Mage himself.

Accessing this high-end content isn’t for the faint of heart, as you’ll need to have achieved some serious levelling and progress be able to get in.

Players level 200 and over, who’ve managed to complete the fifth job advancement will gain access to Labyrinth of Suffering, Tenebris’ second area.

At the conclusion of the quest within Labyrinth of Suffering, players will face off with Commander Verus Hilla, one of the Black Mage’s most trusted soldiers.  Nexon has also advised that;

Tenebris’ final area, is also available as players must help the Tenebris expedition escape dangerous situations inside to complete the Journey of Destiny.

With the introduction of the Black Mage, every class will receive a 5th job skill to help in the fight. When enough ‘Determination’ has been earned to power up the Spark of Determination, the Black Mage Boss battle will become available.

The Black Mage’s HP is a pool, shared across all worlds and MapleStory players will need to work together to defeat him.
