Fortnite Season 7 – Ice Ice Baby

Epic Games has kicked off Fortnite Season 7.

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Well, perhaps for the folks in the northern hemisphere.

A massive iceberg has slid its way onto the map bringing with it a new Biome. Snowy fields and slippery ice have covered a little over a third of the map.

Fortnite Season 7

Fortnite Season 7 has added a lot more vertical movement with the inclusion of ziplines and the Stormwing Plane. One player can pilot the Stormwing while four others can mount the wings and be carried around.

The Stormwing also has a single mounted machine gun for some Dog-fighting fun.

Along with the new features, a few of the game’s locations have been changed. For instance, Risky Reels has been levelled and a sign is up calling it “The Block.”

Thanks to the iceberg we now have Frosty Flights and Polar Peek.

The Block

So what exactly is The Block?

This new area ties directly into the newly announced Fortnite Creative. The Block will be a curated zone that will feature the best creations made by players using Fortnite Creative.

According to Epic;

The Block is a new feature that will improve and evolve over time. Please report any technical issues you run into and we’ll get them fixed.

To kick things off, we’re going to provide a few guidelines to make the submission process smooth. Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • 25×25 tile area on a flat section of your island. It’s very important that your creations can fit nicely on The Block.
  • Try to keep your ‘Memory Used’ less than 50,000.  Efficiency is just as important as creativity!
  • Chests, floor loot and vehicle spawns will be determined by Epic. No need to include these.

Players will need to stick to the Creative Code of Conduct and share their creations on social media. Those tagged with the hashtag #FortniteBlockParty will have a chance to be featured.

Also coming to Fortnite Season 7 is the ability to change the look of your weapons with wraps. These act just like skins for your weapons and vehicles, adding even more customisations to your character.

As per the usual, Epic Games has added many new outfits, emotes, loading screens, music, back bling, contrails and gliders.

Gear up for Fortnite Season 7 and stay tuned for our guides to the challenges.
