Season 2 of the Overwatch League is fast approaching and with that comes the reveal of team names and colours for the final new franchises entering the league.
Brace yourselves for the red, white and blue of the Washington Justice as they boldly stride into the Atlantic Division. Promoting the team name as a universal value, the Justice draw their team name from the official city motto ‘Justitia Omnibus’ meaning ‘Justice for all’.
Turns out there’s more to that name than a sick Metallica album, as the city of Washington rallies around their newest sports franchise.
New Overwatch League Teams
Washington Justice has a diverse lineup, drawing players and support staff from New Zealand, Norway, South Korea, Canada and of course the United States. The strong shield logo suggests some amazing tank players.
As #ShieldsUp belongs to the LA Gladiators they have a lot to prove with such a bold logo. You can follow the Washington Justice on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for more announcements as well as a link directly to their merch store.
But it’s not all USA, as Vancouver is the final team to join the Pacific Division. The Titans stormed across the ice at a Canucks NHL game, revealing the squad to hundreds of thousands of Ice Hockey fans.
The Titans share a local feel with their colour scheme, as their home jerseys mirror that of the Vancouver Canucks NHL team, which comes as no surprise as they are both owned by the Aquilini Group.
Vancouver Titans have set their sights to the top of the ladder, following a strong recruitment period in picking up a majority of the RunAway roster, who won Koreas OWL Contenders 2018 season. It’s clear that Vancouver will have rabid crazy sports fans at home as well as international supporters. Catch all the announcements as well as a recap of the Titans reveal trailer on their Twitter & Instagram.
