Razer has announced three new peripherals; Razer Kraken Tournament Edition headset, BlackWidow Elite keyboard and Mamba Wireless mouse.
The announcement comes fresh out of IFA 2018 and PAX West. Each of the three devices has been designed with innovation at the forefront.
Razer Co-Founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan said of the announcements;
Our newest Razer Kraken Tournament Edition headset, BlackWidow Elite keyboard and Mamba Wireless mouse are perfect examples of how leading-edge technology combines with time-honoured design for the win
Razer Kraken Tournament Edition
The Razer Kraken Tournament Edition is the world’s first gaming headset to support THX Spatial Audio. THX Spatial Audio uses object and scene–based audio precise 360° positional sound. Razer says it will give players pinpoint accuracy unlike anything else.
Razer Kraken Tournament Edition has custom-tuned 50mm drivers for some crystal clear audio and thumping bass. In fact, Razer offers 17 levels of bass via a new USB Audio Controller.
The controller allows on-the-fly bass level adjustment and a customised mix between game and team chat volume through Game/Chat Balance. A handy, fully retractable mic handles all your game chat.
A 3.5mm audio jack connection makes cross-platform use across Xbox, Playstation, Switch and mobile devices possible.
Cooling-gel fabric and leatherette cushions pamper your ears while the light aluminium frame promises comfort for extended play. Razer’s signature green ensures you will stand out from a mile away.
The Razer Kraken Tournament Edition is available immediately for AUD $169.95
Razer BlackWidow Elite Keyboard
Next in your arsenal is the Razer BlackWidow Elite Keyboard. It’s a performance gaming keyboard with Razer Mechanical Keyboard Switches in your choice of Orange, Green or Yellow. Three media keys and a multi-function digital dial allows players to control functions like volume, brightness or cycle through game weapons.
Hypershift allows for every key to become a macro key — meaning complex game key combinations can be mapped onto a single key. Add on a padded wrist rest, USB 2.0, audio passthrough and wire routing for clean cable management.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Razer keyboard without a ton of customizable RGB lights. Each key is self-lit allowing for countless permutations via the Razer Synapse 3 software. The Hybrid Onboard Memory and Cloud Storage allow storage of up to five profiles, accessible anywhere.
The Razer BlackWidow Elite Keyboard retails for a whopping AUD $299.95. Not cheap by any means but you certainly seem to get a lot of bang for your buck.
Razer Mamba Wireless mouse
Rounding out the trio is the new Razer Mamba Wireless mouse. It comes with Razer 5G Advanced Optical Sensor for true 16,000 DPI.
Razer claims a 99.4% resolution accuracy — the highest in the industry. What this means for gamers is ultrafine precision and blistering speed.
Being geared at pro gamers, a mouse that drops connections won’t do. So Razer developed a proprietary Adaptive Frequency Technology(ATF) that offers a connection as reliable as a wired one. A 50-hour battery keeps all that tech charged nicely.
The Razer Mamba has 7 programmable buttons rated up to 50 million clicks. Custom player profiles can be saved with the same hybrid memory and cloud storage.
The Razer Mamba Wireless mouse can be had for AUD $169.95.
