The Plantronics RIG 500 Pro Series is launching in Australia in August

Plantronics, the highest selling headset manufacturer in Australia, has announced the newest model, the Plantronics RIG 500. The Plantronics RIG 500 is headed to Australia in mid-August and is designed for with all players in mind.

In addition to announcing the RIG 500, Plantronics has revealed that its headset sales have grown by 216% year-to-date. This figure is double that of the local headset market, which in itself has experienced 114% growth YTD.

Plantronics is happy to announce that these figures mean “Plantronics has not only overtaken the industry by driving an increase of 102% on value and 108% on units, but RIG gaming headsets have also reigned as the undisputed market leader in gaming headsets in Australia for the past six months.”

The announcement of the brand-new Plantronics RIG 500 comes at a time when Plantronics is on top in the market and may assist in keeping the company there. 

This new headset combines Plantronics high-quality audio in an incredibly lightweight body. Plantronics RIG 500 will also be the very first RIG headset to include “an exoskeleton earcup design with isolated inner acoustic chambers.”

According to Plantronics;

The design is specially built to reduce distortion, creating an unparalleled audio solution for today’s high-resolution gaming platforms

Both the PS4 and Xbox One licensed editions will include;

  • RIG Game Audio Dial
  • a 3.5 mm connector
  • integrated volume control for wireless game controllers

Plantronics has announced that the RIG 500 Pro Series will be released in Australia in mid-August. They will be available at Harvey Norman, EB Games and JB Hi-Fi.
