SEGA announces Sega Ages for Switch, includes Master System & Megadrive games

SEGA announced a collection of older titles coming to Nintendo Switch recently. Sega Ages for Switch will collect 15 titles from Master System and Megadrive (Genesis for you Americans).

However, in addition to the 8 and 16-bit games, there is the potential for Saturn and Dreamcast games to be included in Sega Ages for Switch.

The game was announced at SEGA FES 2018 and also via Twitter.

Sega Ages for Switch

Sega Ages will feature 15+ games when it launches and so far five titles have been revealed;

  • Sonic the Hedgehog
  • Thunder Force IV
  • Phantasy Star
  • Alex the Kidd in Miracle World
  • Gain Ground

So far, SEGA has only announced Megadrive and Master System titles, but according to Sam Mullen from the Atlus/SEGA localisation team, Saturn and Dreamcast titles are a possibility. But it will rely on the fans.

How to get SEGA to add more games

In Mullen’s post on ResetEra, he says that if fans are keen to see specific games in Sega Ages they should “Tweet them. Post on their Facebook page. Post anywhere where Sega has an online presence.”

For a handy reference, you can find SEGA at these addresses online;
