NACON launching officially licensed wired compact PS4 controllers in Australia

Bluemouth Interactive, BigBen and NACON have today announced a brand new range of officially licensed, third-party PS4 controllers coming to Australia. The announcement reveals NACON is launching licensed the NACON Wired Compact PS4 controllers.

The controllers are licensed by Sony and include all of the standard features found on the DualShock 4. The NACON wired compact PS4 controllers are designed for smaller hands, children and those who prefer a smaller controller.

The NACON Wired Compact PS4 Controllers have been manufactured with a soft finish to remain comfortable through long play sessions. The controllers are available in a range of colours which includes grey, black, blue, red and orange.

In addition to the matte colours, the NACON Wired Compact PS4 Controllers are available in funky red, blue and green transparent designs. The transparent controllers are the exact same design but feature internal LEDs to help give off effects for extra immersion.

Specifications

  • 3m long cable for wired control of the PlayStation 4 system
  • 2 vibration motors
  • SHARE, OPTIONS and PS buttons
  • Touch pad
  • LED player status indicator
  • 3.5mm stereo headset jack
  • Soft touch finish or fully transparent casing Illuminated with LED lighting
  • PC compatible (X-Input)

The NACON Wired Compact PS4 Controllers are compatible with PC, however PC compatibility has neither been tested, not is endorsed by Sony.

Also, unlike the LightBar on a DualShock 4, the LED lights of the transparent NACON Wired Compact PS4 Controllers do not interact with the PlayStation Camera in any way.

To get your hands on one of these controllers, you’ll need to wait until tomorrow. The NACON Wired Compact PS4 Controllers will be available from JB Hi-Fi for $49.95 AUD.

A standard DualShock 4 will set you back at least $100 AUD, so if you’re not too fussy about size, maybe you can give the NACON Wired Compact PS4 Controllers a try.
