Dishonored: Death of the Outsider – How to Kidnap the Bartender

Dishonored’s latest instalment — Death of the Outsider — is available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Like Dishonored and Dishonored II, Death of the Outsider is a darkly humorous journey through a strange world.

Through the five chapters of Death of the Outsider, there are multiple paths to take, secrets to find and of course, people to kill; or knockout if you prefer. In this series of guides, we’ll show you how to unlock Trophies/Achievements, find secret areas and more.

How to kidnap the bartender

In Chapter 2 one of your Contracts requires you to kidnap the bartender of the Spector Club. The bartender can be found easily enough, but getting him out is a little tricker than it seems. Gaining access to the Spector Club requires you to tattoo yourself at the Red Camellia or by using Semblance on an Eyeless member.

The video above will show you how to make a clean getaway, but first, you’ll need to clear out the club. Make sure you don’t kill the bartender though. You need to deliver him alive.

Get out of the Spector club

If you try and carry the bartender out of the club, the Eyeless will attack you on sight. You’ll need to either kill everyone inside or knock them all out. In the video above we take them out using a combination of Hyperbaric Grandes and Electric Darts. You can do it however you like. That’s the beauty of Death of the Outsider.

Once the coast is clear, it’s time to get the bartender to his final resting place.

Get to the roof of the dentist.

The end of this Contract takes you to the roof of the dentist near the beginning of the level. To get there, you’ll need to exit the club, carrying the bartender, and Displace to the opposite side of the street. From here, Displace to the top of one of the guard huts, then up onto a balcony just above and then another even higher.

Go through the open window, through the small room and out of the window on the other side. From the balcony Displace onto the top of a street light and from there onto the roof of the dentist.

Walk forwards and place the bartender into the box.

Mission complete.
