ARMS – How to Change the Fighter’s Colours

ARMS features a colourful cast of characters, but it seems to lack something that all fighting games have. The ability to change the colour of your fighters.  Thankfully, there is a way to do it and we’re here to tell you how.

How to Change Fighter Colours?

For some reason, instead of just allowing you to choose your colour on the character select screen, Nintendo has decided to hide it away. Each character has four colours, including their default one. To access them you’ll need to follow these steps;

  • Highlight which character you want to play as
  • Click and hold in the left stick
  • While holding the left stick push it left, right or down (based on the chart below)
  • With the left stick clicked in and pressed in the direction you want, press A

This is a really convoluted system, but it is what it is. You can use this chart to decide which colour you want. We’ve also included every variation in the gallery below.

Character Up Right Left Down
Byte & Barq Blue Green Orange White
Helix Green Purple Blue Orange
Kid Cobra White/Purple Yellow/Blue Pink/Green White
Master Mummy Purple Red Black Green
Mechanica Yellow Pink Metallic Blue Camouflage
Min Min Green/Orange Purple/Blue Black/Yellow Red/White
Ninjara Green Red Pink Orange
Ribbon Girl Pink/Blue Red/Green Black Green/Pink
Spring Man Red/Blue Black/Red Blue/Green Alt Blue/Green
Twintelle White/Black Red/White Green/Black Pink/Blue

A digital pre-release copy of ARMS was provided to PowerUp! by Nintendo.
