Overwatch helps drive record earnings for Activision

Activision’s Q3 2016 financial results were “better than expected” thanks in part to Overwatch.

Overwatch became Blizzard’s fastest ever selling title, with over 20 million players globally and contributing to Activision’s overall figure of 46 million active monthly users. Also contributing are Destiny and Call of Duty.

CEO Bobby Kotick said, “We again over-performed our plan, delivering record third-quarter revenues of $1.57 billion, up almost 60%. Overwatch, which after only about four months had already achieved over four million players has incredible player engagement.”

Overwatch is available now.
