DICE has big plans for Battlefield 1

DICE isn’t going to stop supporting Battlefield 1 anytime soon and recently posted about just what the future holds.

There are plans for timed events, changes to current features and even brand new ones. Battlefield 1 players will be pleased to know that Hardcore Servers will soon be available and while there’s no specific date as yet, DICE promises they’ll be available in the near future.

The Suez Map is going to be modified to include five flags instead of three and the two flags within the village will have their capture areas reduced. Each base will also receive an armoured vehicle to help move across the map more quickly in the beginning of matches.

From November 16, Battlefest will kick off and will be a week-long event, celebrating Battlefield. Players will earn log-in rewards and unique Battlepacks, take part in community missions  and more. During Battlefest, custom game mode Fog of War will debut. The mode removes the minimap and soldier name tags as well as limits player’s sight with actual fog.

Finally, a brand new map — Giant’s Shadow — will arrive in December.

Battlefield 1 is available now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
