Warner Bros has released the terrifying and enormously disturbing trailer for Weapons, the new film from Zach Cregger, Director of Barbarian. Set in the town of Maybrook, Weapons follows a small town driven to the brink after all but one child from the same class mysteriously vanishes one night.
Per Warner Bros, “Cregger directs from his own screenplay, and also produces alongside Roy Lee, Miri Yoon, J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules, with Michelle Morrissey and Josh Brolin executive producing. The filmmaker’s creative team behind the camera includes director of photography Larkin Seiple, production designer Tom Hammock, editor Joe Murphy and costume designer Trish Sommerville. The music is by Ryan Holladay, Hays Holladay and Zach Cregger.”
Weapons
The trailer, above, is absolutely batshit and sets the tone for what looks to be a horrific and very scary film. As a parent, this one certainly hits close to home and ramps up the scares, but the imagery included in the trailer proves that Weapons isn’t going to hold back.
Weapons will hit theatres on 7 August 2025.
