Zero Latency is giving away $15K USD to the best zombie slayer in the world

Zero Latency has announced a global zombie slaying competition with a grand prize of USD 15,000; Champions of the Undead. Across the Zero Latency community, the best of the best will compete for glory with the top players from each region being flown to Las Vegas for the Grand Final.

Champions of the Undead will take place inside one of Zero Latency’s most popular games; Undead Arena. Undead Arena sees players facing off against hordes of zombies in a twisted, futuristic reality show set in the zombie apocalypse.

Players need to go to any of the 70+ global Zero Latency locations to participate and play Undead Arena. The competition will run from Thursday 10 August 2023 through Wednesday 6 September 2023.

Zero Latency – Champions of the Undead

“This is the first time in our history that we’re bringing our global community together in this exciting way, and giving back to the players that have supported us,” said Tim Ruse, CEO at Zero Latency. “We’re thrilled that we’ve now seen three million plays across the globe since we started this journey ten years ago, with people continually looking for experiences that allow them to connect with others. We can’t think of a better way to celebrate than with this competition, on a scale that we’ve never done before. We’re continuing to innovate and grow, and are looking forward to the next 3 million plays from our dedicated, passionate players worldwide.”

Zero Latency describes Undead Arena as “one of Zero Latency’s most popular experiences. Set in a post-apocalyptic game show, players fight their way up a multi-level arena in front of a crowd hungry for mayhem and amusement. Their mission is to kill as many zombies as they can, avoid being killed themselves, and ultimately score high to climb the leaderboard. They have three weapons to choose from and can trigger flame traps to toast zombies by the dozen.”

Up to 8 players can play Undead Arena together and can make as many attempts as they like to set a high score. Once the competition period ends, the highest-scoring player in each region will face off in a bespoke, more difficult version of Undead Arena at the Grand Final in Vegas. The winner will receive USD 15,000 and the runners-up will score a VIVE XR Elite worth USD 1,099.
