Glitchhikers is a non-linear exploration of everyday beauty, launching March 31

Glitchhikers: The Spaces Between is launching March 31, 2022, from developer Silverstring Media and publisher Fellow Traveller. Described as a non-linear narrative game, Glitchhikers: The Spaces Between “encourages a deep dive into our own self-awareness with four different journeys.”

Based upon and expanding on Silverstring Media’s experimental 2014 title Glitchikers, this new game is designed to take “players on a journey through the moments of life we often overlook set to a synth-filled soundtrack.”

Glitchhikers: The Spaces Between is about the thoughts that exist between destinations, the parts of journeys that dominate our time but not our attention, when our minds wander to parts of ourselves and our world normally left unexamined. On a late night highway drive, a quiet train car in the early hours, a walk through a moonlight park, or the endless wait in a deserted airport, we listen to weird music amid the ambient announcements of delays, and question our place in the universe.

Silverstring Media is a queer-led studio based in Vancouver working to create original games. “We are world-builders. We strive to push the boundaries of digital media, narratives, and architectural experiences, experimenting with form and content. Our aim is to bring diversity and hope to our stories and culture.”

Glitchhikers: The Spaces Between will be available on PC via Steam, Humble, GOG.COM, and Epic on March 31, 2022.
