Respawn has announced today that Apex Legends Mobile is launching in Australia and New Zealand next week. The launch is part of a “limited regional” release so Respawn can “work on in-game systems, features, and more prior to launch.” Apex Legends Mobile is, as the name suggests, a mobile version of the popular battle-royale shooter.
Unlike the console and PC versions, Apex Legends Mobile is played from a 3rd-person perspective that shifts into first-person when aiming down the sights. Respawn has confirmed that there will be no cross-play between the console and PC versions and the mobile version.

There are 10 countries included in the limited regional launch and alongside ANZ they are Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Argentina and Colombia. Apex Legends Mobile will be available on both Google Play and the App Store.

In the limited regional launch, players will have access to Bloodhound, Gibraltar, Lifeline, Wraith, Bangalore, Octane, Mirage, Pathfinder, and Caustic with more legends being added over time. Those players wanting to have a go at Apex Legends Mobile will need to ensure they have a smart phone up to the task.
The Apex Legends Mobile is currently still in development and being optimized to run on a variety of devices. Notably, devices not supported during the limited region test are iOS devices with less than 2GB RAM and Android devices with less than 3GB RAM. We will be able to support Android devices with 2GB RAM from the following brands:

- Xiaomi
