Total War: WARHAMMER III is launching on PC Game Pass today and to celebrate the occasion Xbox has teamed up with Sydney based metal band Battlesnake. The band has been enlisted to deliver a killer cover of “Death is Like the Winter Chill” in a music video directed by legendary Australian director Anthony Rose. Everything from set design to costuming has been inspired by elements of the Warhammer Fantasy universe to make for an authentic experience. You can check out the video below!

Total War: WARHAMMER III Hits PC Game Pass Today

Rose, who has worked with other Aussie icons including Delta Goodrem, Tina Arena and Shannon Noll, captures a unique take on the Warhammer vibes while filming at Oxford Art Factory. Inspiration for the costuming was taken from the four chaos gods, Slaanesh, Nurgle, Khorne and Tzeentch while the band also infuses their own love of heavy metal and fantasy aesthetics into the mix. Elliott Hitchcock of Battlesnake says via press release that “We’re hyped to pay tribute to the legendary Warhammer  community and hope that our celebration brings some new Warhammer metal-heads to our shows in future to watch us get sweaty”

Total War: WARHAMMER III launched to a rave critical reception and looks to be an ambitious entry into the franchise. Tactical, real-time battle strategy collides with a turn-based narrative campaign alongside a new story-focused prologue and multiplayer matches. The general scale of the world of Warhammer is wild as it is so combining it with a game in which you get to call the shots seems like a blast.

Total War: WARHAMMER III is available right now for free on PC Game Pass.
