Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is getting 48 new tracks as paid DLC

Nintendo has announced that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is about to grow fat with tracks as it prepares to launch the Booster Course Pass. Over time (eight tracks per week over six waves), Nintendo will add remastered tracks from across the Mario Kart series. All of these remastered tracks will be playable both locally and online (with a Switch Online membership of course) and best of all, if you already have a Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership, you’ll get the Booster Pass free-of-charge.

Without the Expansion Pack membership, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s Booster Course Pass will run you $37.50 AUD. Nintendo has advised that Booster Course Pass tracks will not be purchasable separately, so it’s all or nothing.
