NBA 2K22 is changing its approach to music and giving fans a chance to be part of the soundtrack

Visual Concepts and 2K have announced that in NBA 2K22, the approach to music and the soundtrack is changing. Being integrated with Seasons, the soundtrack in NBA 2K22 will be “dynamic” and gives fans “early access to unreleased tracks, new artists” and a chance to be “part of the experience.”

A new feature, First Fridays, will see new songs added to the soundtrack on the first Friday of every new season in NBA 2K22. These updates will see a range of artists, both established and up-and-coming added to the soundtrack in a move designed to “support music discovery.”

“Basketball and music are so intertwined and have become an integral part of our game,” said Alfie Brody, Vice President of Global Marketing for NBA 2K. “NBA 2K has become a global platform for music discovery and that continues with NBA 2K22.”
