Beast Boy Is The Latest Teen Titan To Join Fortnite

The ever-expanding roster of pop culture icons joining Fortnite is growing once again with the arrival of Beast Boy this Friday. Following suit with Teen Titan‘s Raven, who arrived with Season Six’s slate of characters, Beast Boy is the latest DC hero to land on the island.

On the 14th of May, Fortnite players can purchase the Beast Boy Bundle from the Item Shop to unlock his skin, along with a custom Back Bling, pickaxe and emote. Each item will also be available for purchase individually. The items will land in the shop this Friday at 10 am AEST!

Included in the Beast Boy pack is his base skins, along with a Couch Titan Back Bling and Bonk Bat Pickaxe. The items are appropriately teen-themed, featuring sloppy takeout pizza, game console controller and, of course, oversized novelty whacking device.

For those not in the know, DC’s Beast Boy is a popular member of the Teen Titans gang, aptly named for his ability to transform into animals. Using the built-in Go-Ape emote will allow Beast Boy to transform into the fawn green gorilla as seen above. The stylish young adult joins the ranks of Joker, Poison Ivy and a whole host of other DC characters in the game, most notably his canon love interest Raven.

The expansion of the DC roster comes just after Fortnite scored big with Brazillian soccer superstar Namar Jr. The deal, which saw PUMA and Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior team up with Epic Games for a seasonal event and skins pack, was the latest in Chapter Two, Season Six’s rollout. Both in-game and out, Fortnite is continuing to grow its cultural pastiche of influences and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
