Wizards of the Coast’s three-day Dungeons & Dragons Celebration starts tomorrow. This special, digital tabletop event will see the largest ever virtual game of D&D running from September 19 through September 21 (AEST). The event will offer fans live panels, live gameplay and even the opportunity to participate.
A preview of the upcoming content from Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything will also be available. Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything includes a number of rule changes and new content to change the way D&D is played.
To celebrate and host the largest ever virtual D&D game, over 1000 players will take part.
D&D Celebration

At the time of writing, 99% of all virtual tables and games are sold out, though if you scour the sign-up pages you may be able to find a spot at a table if you’re lucky. All proceeds from tickets sold will be donated to Extra Life benefiting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in the US.
On top of the largest ever virtual D&D game, D&D Celebration will be the first chance to learn about Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything. The content includes new classes, feats, spells, items, puzzles and more. It’s the largest update to D&D since Xanathar’s Guide to Everything.
Lead Designer and Principle Rules Designer on D&D Jeremy Crawford said;
The special witchcraft of Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything is the freedom it gives you to personalise your D&D character in new ways. D&D adventurers are exceptional, and this book gives you the tools to make them and their story even more extraordinary.
The new book will be split into four sections which will focus on new classes, new spells, Group Patrons and the DM section. At 192 pages, Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything is a hefty addition to 5E and should give D&D players plenty to sink their teeth into.
Similar to the D&D Live event that was held in June, D&D Celebration is all about the game, however, Celebration is more about the community than celebrity. As for the enormous game of virtual D&D, each table will have a DM and all decisions and outcomes of those tables will impact what’s happening throughout the entire game.
