Check out some screenshots from Far Cry 6

Having officially announced Far Cry 6 today, Ubisoft has provided us with a handful of screenshots for the game. Some are pre-rendered images taken from the trailer while others appear to be in-game screenshots.

From these images, Far Cry 6 looks to be taking the series to a whole new level, in terms of visuals. This makes sense, given that Far Cry 6 will be launching on next-gen consoles, alongside PC and current-gen.

Those who purchase a PS4 or Xbox One version of the game, will even get the next-gen version free, within the same console family.

Far Cry 6

Far Cry 6 takes place in the tropical nation of Yara, a place frozen in time. It’s clearly a stand-in for Cuba and stars Giancarlo Esposito as El Presidente Anton Castillo. Castillo is grooming his young son to take over and players control Dani Rojas, a local who becomes a guerrilla fighter.

Far Cry 6 looks like a return to the tropical locales of previous games in the series after Far Cry 5’s journey to Montana.

It launches on February 18, 2021.
