It takes 20-minutes to circumnavigate East Anglia in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Recently, we sent Adam ‘GrizGaming‘ Mathew to Ubisoft’s offices to go hands-on with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. As he tends to do, Griz checked off the standard list of things in a preview, story missions, combat, exploration, additional content and the like.

Then, he kicked it up a notch and dove into some different and unique ways of playing, just to see what he could do. He ate some poisonous mushrooms to see what would happen…he died.

He romanced an NPC and deliberately mispronounced their name the next morning. Classic. And he set out to circumnavigate East Anglia to see how big it was and how long it would take.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

East Anglia is one of four Kingdoms featured in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, alongside Wessex, Northumbria and Mercia. The video below is taken from Griz’s longer in-depth preview of Valhalla that is a perfect companion for his written piece.

As Ubisoft restricted the length of video that could be shown, the footage of East Anglia has been sped up, to fit within the constraints. However, to watch it at (almost) normal speed, sinply slow the footage down to 0.35x normal.

In his hands-on, Griz compares Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to The Witcher 3, at least in terms of atmosphere and exploration. After watching the video, he’s spot-on. Check it out and see if you agree.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X in December 2020.
