It was bound to happen sooner or later – a pair of wireless headsets that charge wirelessly. The new HyperX Cloud Flight S pack a technology that’s been available in many smartphones for years — Qi Wireless charging. All you need to do is plop the Cloud Flight S down on a compatible Qi wireless charging pad and it will begin filling the battery up. No cables needed.
To enable this, the Cloud Flight S has a unique locking hinge on the left earcup that allows the headset to stand on a QI charging pad without any external support. A green charging light indicates when the headset is charging or complete. Not that you’ll need to do that often since the Cloud Flight S is rated for 30 hours of wireless use.
A 2.4Ghz wireless connection provides lag-free audio that is necessary for fast-paced gaming. The Cloud Flight S provides the same Cloud quality of sound via 50mm dynamic drivers and custom-tuned 7.1 surround sound.

The ear cups on the Cloud Flight S are pliable leatherette with memory foam for hours of comfort. And when you need to take a short break, the ear cups will fold 90-degrees to rest flat on your chest. The Cloud Flight S has customizable controls on the ear cups meaning you can set the controls the way you prefer.
And because of these strange times we live in, everyone needs a good microphone. The Cloud Flight S has a detachable mic with an LED mute indicator and built-in mic monitoring. There’s also easy controls on the earcup to adjust game and chat volume.
The new HyperX Cloud Flight S works with PC and PlayStation 4 is available now for $299 AUD through HyperX’s network of retail and e-tail outlets. We haven’t reviewed these yet but you can learn more about the headsets at HyperX website.
