Published by Modus Games and developed by Sketchbook Games, Lost Words: Beyond the Page received a new trailer at the New York Game Awards overnight. Lost Words stars Izzy, a young writer “using creativity and her journal to deal with life’s adventures.” Using a watercolour visual style and featuring 2D puzzle platforming, Lost Words is designed to feel like the pages of a diary come to life.
Throughout the game, players will use Izzy’s words to solve puzzles, create platforms and more. Designed to link story and gameplay, Lost Words was written by Rhianna Pratchett.
Pratchett is known for her work on Heavenly Sword, Overlord, Mirror’s Edge, Tomb Raider and Rise of the Tomb Raider.
