ESO Charity Drive to save pets continues this month with two new in-game events

Bethesda’s ESO Charity Drive, #SlayDragonsSaveCats, kicked off on October 4 and has so far raised $113,477 USD. The goal total is $200,000 USD with the event running until December 9, 2019.

The Elder Scrolls Online has always been about players coming together to triumph over threats to Tamriel. ZeniMax Online Studios invites fans on a quest to confront a real-life challenge: saving and improving the lives of pets across the world.

In partnership with GlobalGivingBest Friends Animal Society (North America), and FOUR PAWS (pan-European), players will work to save real life and in-game cats and more by participating in special events and other content to raise money.

ESO’s most recent expansion, Elsweyr was released in June and took players to the home of the cat-like Khajiit. With their lands threatened by dragons, players can defeat the winged beasts to save the Khajiit.

For every five dragons defeated in ESO during the event, Bethesda will donate $1 USD up to $200,000. Players are also able to donate directly at the event website.

To help get players playing and slaying, Bethesda is hosting multiple in-game events. Dragon Rise was the first event and was held from October 3 through 14. Players were tasked with exploring the north of the region, defeating dragons and completing the Dragonhold prologue.

Two more events are scheduled for November with the next one starting on November 14. Undaunted Celebration will see players “Take on random dungeons via the Dungeon Finder to earn Mysterious Reward Boxes that contain in-game rewards including Motif Chapters, weapon styles, and more.”

Undaunted Celebration runs until November 18. Dawn of the Dragonguard which starts on November 26 and finished on December 9.

Hunt down Elsweyr’s most dangerous monsters with your fellow players and you’ll earn new in-game loot. And remember, for every five Dragons slain during the time period, we’ll donate $1 to the #SlayDragonsSaveCats campaign.

Recently, Bethesda launched the Dragonhold story zone for all platforms.

ESO is available now.
