CI Games next title, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 22. That’s only two weeks away so we thought we’d get you up to speed with the next title in this franchise. Ditching the open-world format of Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, Contracts returns to the tried and tested sandbox style. More akin to Sniper Elite, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts unleashed players in the harsh Siberian wilderness as a hitman for hire.
Taking on individual contracts, players will have an arsenal of tools, weapons and gadgets at their disposal in order to complete their jobs.
While Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts doesn’t feature an open world, it does feature five distinct areas, including Kolchak Harbour — featured in the trailer below — and Black Gold.
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts
Each of the five unique regions serves as a “sniper’s tactical paradise” according to CI Games. Missions and contracts are open-ended allowing players to complete them however they see fit.
Additionally, players will be able to earn cash from completing contracts and can even earn more by completing them in a variety of ways. The sandbox setting also means that contracts and combat encounters will never play out the same way twice.
New to Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts is the Dynamic Reticle System. This new system gives players the power to adjust for ballistics and atmospheric conditions. By doing so, players will be able to line up difficult and critical shots that would have been almost impossible before.
While the sniper rifle is a sniper’s best friend, players will also have access to Scout Drones, an Augmented Reality Mask, built-in binoculars and special ammunition.
Overall, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts will include more than 20 contracts spread across the five regions. These contracts are spread across the regions and require players to execute targets in order to move onto new regions.
Single-player isn’t the only dish on the menu either and Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts will include multiplayer modes at launch.
Launching on November 22, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts is being billed as a return to form for the franchise. CI Games is touting it as the ultimate sniper experience.
It’s coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
