Bethesda has announced that the culmination of the Season of the Dragon, Dragonhold, is now live. The first of Elder Scrolls Online’s year-long interconnected adventures, the Dragonhold story zone is now live on Mac, PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Alongside Dragonhold, update 24 has been released, free, to all players.
Update 24 brings a swathe of changes and improvements to Elder Scrolls Online and coincides with a Free Play week. Bethesda has also been running the #SlayDragonsSaveCats charity campaign.
So far, the campaign has raised over $100,000.
ESO Dragonhold
Set in Southern Elsweyr, Dragonhold features a new story zone, three unique biomes, delves, world bosses, quests, Dragon hunts and much more. Dragonhold costs 2,000 Crowns in-game or comes free with an ESO Plus Membership.
Additionally, players can spend 4,000 Crowns on the Dragonhold Collector’s Bundle and receive the new content, Legendary Dragon Hunter mount, pet and pack of Experience Scrolls.
Update 24, launched alongside Dragonhold, overhauls ESO’s performance including changes to memory management, phase one of combat ability improvements and a redesign of the LFG system. For all the details, go to Bethesda’s website.
From now until November 14 at 2 am AEDT, players can download and play ESO free on all platforms. The free play period only grants access to the base game. However, previous free play event players can continue their games.
New ESO accounts created during the free play period will earn 500 Crowns to spend in-game. Xbox Live Gold is required to play on Xbox One.
Finally, Elder Scrolls Online players have raised $139,009 USD of the $200K goal for the #SlayDragonsSaveCats charity event. The goal of the event is to save and improve lives of pets throughout the world.
The event is being run in conjunction with Best Friends Animal Society (North America), and FOUR PAWS (pan-European). Players have donated a total of $1,380 directly. The event ends on December 9, 2019 and the $200,000 will be split between both groups.
