FortniteXMayhem is bringing Fortnite & Borderlands together

Gearbox and Epic have announced that Fornite & Borderlands are teaming up for an epic limited-time event; FortniteXMayhem. According to Gearbox, “The unprecedented FortniteXMayhem event creates the kind of chaos that gives Psycho Bandits their name. Get ready to drop into the Pandora Rift Zone, rock a full set of Psycho cosmetic gear, and unleash your anarchic artistry with the Pandora Prefab.”

Sound good?

The Fortnite & Borderlands crossover is being used to promote Borderlands 3 which is a timed exclusive on the Epic Games Store on PC. The event introduces the Psycho Bundle to Fortnite which includes the Psycho Bandit Outfit, Claptrap Pet, and the Psycho Buzz Axes.

As an added incentive, if you purchase any edition of Borderlands 3 on the Epic Games Store, you’ll get the Psycho Bundle for Fortnite for free.

In the event, a Rift has opened to Pandora and has “turned the galaxy’s deadliest desert planet into a wild PvP playground.” Those who enjoy Fornite Creative aren’t being left out either as there are a bunch of Pandora prefab structures to play with.

Players will also be able to earn Borderlands themed rewards in the ‘Welcome to Pandora’ challenges. Both the challenges and the Pandora Rift Zone are available until September 10, 2019.

Borderlands 3 launches on September 13, 2019.
