Disney and Pixar’s Onward stars Chris Pratt and Tom Holland as Elf brothers

Disney and Pixar are at it again, this time teasing Onward. Starring Chris Pratt and Tom Holland as Barley and Ian Lightfoot, Onward is the story of the two brothers embarking on a quest to find out if magic still exists in the world.

Onward takes place in a suburban/fantasy mash-up but not of the Shadowrun, Bright kind.

In this world, human don’t exist but Elves, Goblins, Mermaids, Trolls and more do. Those who live in this world also get to keep dragons as pets.

We’re pretty jealous.

Onward

Not too much is known about Onward at this stage. We know that Pratt and Holland will play the brothers and that Julia Louis-Dreyfus will play Mom. Octavia Spencer also has a role, though what that is is not yet announced.

Onward will be directed by Dan Scanlon — Monsters University — and produced by Kori Rae.

On their adventure, Ian and Barley hope to spend one day with their dad who died when they were too young to remember him. You can check out the teaser trailer below and see some images from the movie above.

Onward opens in cinemas on March 19, 2020.
