Razer embraces the Dark Side with three Stormtrooper inspired releases

Razer has announced three special Stormtrooper inspired products as part of its collaboration with Lucasfilm. The Razer Stormtrooper gear includes a mouse, keyboard and gaming mouse mat; all of which feature iconic Stormtrooper design features.

The Razer BlackWidow Lite, Atheris wireless mouse and Goliathus Extended mouse mat each include a black and white Stormtrooper theme while offering the same high, Razer quality.

These three peripherals will be released first in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain.

Razer Co-Founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan said;

Star Wars is a cultural phenomenon with a rich history not only in cinema, but also in gaming. We are excited to join forces with Lucasfilm to create this special collection for our biggest fans and to bring the design of the saga’s most iconic characters to gaming peripherals.

The BlackWidow Lite includes Razer’s Orange Mechanical Switches which have been designed for gaming but are also silent and tactile so that they can also be used for work. It also includes O-Rings and backlit keys.

This enables the keyboard to be made quieter and brighter based on personal preference.

The Razer Atheris wireless mouse has been designed to feature the Stormtrooper helmet.

As you can see, the mouse really captures the Stormtrooper design and also includes 300 hours battery life, 7200 DPI optical sensor, five programmable buttons and an ambidextrous design.

Finally, the Razer Goliathus Extended mouse mat is Razer’s best selling. According to the sales pitch;

 The Goliathus provides speed and precision with its slick, taut weave optimized for all mouse sensitivities and sensors. The portable mat is designed with an anti-fraying stitched frame and an anti-slip rubber base. The Stormtrooper Edition comes in an iconic stormtrooper design that completes the entire set.

It’s not yet clear when (or if) these peripherals will launch in Australia. We’ll let you know when we learn more.
