Giga Wrecker Alt is coming to consoles next week, check out some screenshots

GameFreak, best known for development on the Pokémon games, is about to release its physics-based puzzle platformer, Giga Wrecker Alt on PS4, Switch and Xbox One next week. Previously released on PC as Giga Wrecker, this console release includes additional content.

Giga Wrecker Alt stars Reika, “a young girl thrust into the middle of a robot invasion and armed with a prosthetic arm that allows her to construct various weapons from rubble and scrap.” By using this ability Reika can create platforms, defeat enemies and avoid danger.

Featuring a cartoon, anime aesthetic and set in a dystopian near-future Giga Wrecker Alt is puzzle platforming at its best.

Giga Wrecker Alt

According to GameFreak;

In the near future, where Earth has been ravaged by robot invaders, the fate of the planet rests on the shoulders of a young girl who becomes more than human. Saved from death and cursed with cybernetic powers beyond comprehension, it’s up to Reika Rekkeiji to save humanity from the evil Ajeet

Included in the console release is;

  • 20 Additional Stages
  • New Companion Character
  • Ironman Mode

In Ironman Mode, players take five times the damage of the standard mode so it’s perfect for players who love a challenge.

Giga Wrecker Alt is releasing on PS4 on May 1, Xbox One on May 2 and Switch on May 3.
