Ubisoft is releasing the next update for The Division 2 tomorrow. Titled Invasion: Battle for D.C., this update includes a host of new content, a brand-new stronghold and more.
This free update will add content that can be unlocked and played once players read World Tier 4 (WT4) and have a gear score of at least 425.
The trailer for this The Division 2 update (below) also reveals that the first eight-man raid will be launching on April 25.
The Division 2 Update
Ubisoft has detailed this coming update and says that it will include;
- A new world tier—WT5, with a new gear score cap to 500
- Heroic difficulty
- Three gear sets—Ongoing Directive, True Patriot, and Hard Wired
- A new faction stronghold—Tidal Basin
- Weekly Invaded Missions
After installing the update, when players log into the game they’ll receive a radio transmission that unlocks a new questline. By completing these new side missions, players will unlock the new stronghold; Tidal Basin.
After completing Tidal Basin, Coordinator Manny Ortega at the Base of Operations will have intel on surrounding Black Tusk operations in D.C
The intel received from Manny Ortega unlocks the new Weekly Invaded Missions at any difficulty setting. These missions will be reset each week and will apply to past story missions too. Once the update has been applied, Black Tusk soldiers will also have a chance to drop World Tier 5 gear.
The raid, launching on April 25, is titled Operation Dark Hours and is described as follows;
Title Update 3: Operation Dark Hours sets the ground for the epic fight over the control of the city, fight side-by-side with your friends in the first ever eight-player raid. You and your team need to gear up to face this challenge as it will put you to the test and require expert coordination to be completed.
It certainly looks like there’s a lot to be excited about with this and future updates coming to The Division 2.
