Ubisoft has launched a special Facebook Messenger game experience to coincide with the release of The Division 2. The Division 2 Echo Experience is an AR game that uses Facebook Messenger and your phone’s location to recreate events that have occurred since the viral outbreak.
Ubisoft has worked with DDB Paris and Make Me Pulse to create this experience that provides more narrative context for The Division 2.
According to Ubisoft;
Accessible through a dedicated experience available exclusively on Messenger, The Division 2 Echo experience allows fans to dig deeper into the game narrative. Through more than 50 different stories users will discover the everyday lives of the civilians of Washington D.C. seven months after the virus outbreak that hit New York City.
The Division 2 Echo Experience
To get the most from the Echo Experience, users will need to explore their local area, much like Pokémon GO. As user unlock Echo Stories, they’ll also be earning rewards that can be used in The Division 2.
These items are cosmetics such as clothing and weapon skins.
The Division 2 launches on March 15.
