Frogwares and Bigben today announced that The Sinking City release date has been moved back. Originally set to release in March, The Sinking City release date has been moved into June.
According to Frogwares, the release date has been moved into June to avoid the glut of releases in February and March. June is less crowded, so Frogwares believes it’s a perfect time to put The Sinking City out to fans.
With the extra time, Frogwares intends to make The Sinking City as polished as possible.
The Sinking City Release Date
According to Frogwares;
We hope that this new date will suit you all well. So hopefully while we’re giving you less to worry about, which game you should and shouldn’t play,
The additional time will also allow us to continue to optimise The Sinking City making it a little bit better.
Recently, Frogwares and Bigben revealed that The Sinking City is a game that’s not going to help players out. Set in an H.P. Lovecraft inspired 1920s Massachusetts, players will step into the shoes of PI Charles.
Investigating a mysterious and almost supernatural flood, Charles and the player will need to use all of their detective skills as The Skinking City isn’t a game that’s going to offer any assistance.
Frogwares has crafted The Sinking City in such a way that it eschews conventional game design. According to Frogwares;
There are no objectives on the map or straightforward quests. No magic waypointmarkers automatically telling you where to go or search.
Hopefully, the delay means an even better game.
The Sinking City will release for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on June 27, 2019.
