Trine 4 and Trine Ultimate Collection launching soon

Today, developer Frozenbyte and publisher Modus Games have announced a lot of Trine. Both Trine 4 The Nightmare Prince and Trine Ultimate Collection will be available soon; Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere, Spring in the Southern. Trine 4 will release for PC, PS4, Switch and Xbox One both digitally and at retail.

Trine Ultimate Collection will sadly skip the Switch though. Those who purchase either release at retail will receive bonus content. Though, if you purchase the Ultimate Collection, you won’t need to separately buy Trine 4 as it’s included.

Trine 4 The Nightmare Prince

Trine 4 reunites Amadeus, Pontius, and Zoya and brings players an all-new 2.5D puzzle-platformer to play. According to Frozenbyte;

Play as the three iconic heroes in the most extensive Trine adventure yet, complete with stunning new environments and dynamic, physics-based puzzles that fans have grown to know and love.

The story in Trine 4 sees the heroes having spent years apart. At the behest of the Astral Academy, they reunite to find Prince Selius who is threatening the world with his dark nightmares. Players will;

Those who buy Trine 4 at retail will receive the game and a special physical map. Those who buy the Ultimate Collection will receive all four games, digital soundtrack, digital art book, reversible cover sheet and physical map.
