In Pictures – PUBG and DOTA 2 real-life maps at the Predator League 2019 Grand Final

Acer’s Predator League 2019 Grand Finals are taking place at the Nimibutr Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Nimibutr Stadium is usually used for indoor sports like handball, basketball, netball and the like.

The Predator League 2019 Grand Finals marks the first time the stadium will be used to host an esports event. I took some time to check the stadium out prior to the event and discovered that real-life mock-ups of PUBG and DOTA 2 maps had been created to promote the event.

Out front of Nimibutr Stadium, visitors and fans can see these awesome mini recreations of the environments and landscapes normally found when playing PUBG and DOTA 2.

In the slideshow below, you can see the recreation of the PUBG map. It features buildings, crates and all the typical scenery you’d find in a match.

Not to be left out, DOTA 2 also has its very own mock-up map on display. Fans will notice the lanes and magical scenery that are associated with Valve’s MOBA.

I've been playing games for the past 27 years and have been writing for almost as long. Combining two passions in the way I'm able is a true privilege. PowerUp! is a labour of love and one I am so excited to share.
